Two special brand new recordings (Tracks 4 & 7) appear on this special compilation album for Christmas 2021. Played on a c.1900 Russian harp guitar (4 floating basses + 7 strings on the neck in traditional open tuning), they are my recent efforts using bare fingers on gut strings. The soft and sweet selections are two of my long time favorites.
The rest of the album includes all my past holiday recordings featuring harp guitar: four from 1995’s “A Christmas Collection” (newly remastered for your listening pleasure) along with my two duets on 2011’s “Christmas Present” (performed with James Kline and the late Tom Shinness).
